Southern Lee Athletics is looking for the best tailgate set-up! On Friday, October 29th vs. Lee County, show your school spirit and earn some cash by participating in the Southern Lee Tailgate Challenge. Celebrity judges will be on hand to judge each tailgate on the most team spirit, best food, and best all-around. The winner will be announced at Halftime and will receive $100.
Tailgate Challenge Rules
Must RSVP via email to Ernie Purnsley (epurnsley.sl@lee.k12.nc.us) no later than noon on Friday, October 29th
No open flame, ie. no gas or charcoal grills
No glass containers
No smoking or alcoholic beverages
Blue and Orange decorations encouraged

Bowling Team Tryouts are November 4th, 8th, and 11th

Southern Lee will have a Varsity Girls and Boys Bowling team this year. The official season will begin on November 1, 2021. Tryouts dates will be on November 4th, 8th and 11th. The regular-season matches will be held each Thursday beginning on December 2nd and ending on February 10, 2022, with a playoff for the top four teams (Both Boys and Girls). Those interested in trying out for the team please see Coach Purnsley. You will need the following completed in order to try out.

Present a current Physical
Complete online athletic forms on Parent Portal
Must have passed 3 of 4 classes last semester and currently passing 3 of 4 classes this semester
